Black Ops 7 Zombies Launch: Full Intel on Perks, GobbleGums, & Ashes of the Damned


The wait is almost over. On November 14th, the Dark Aether opens once more, unleashing the undead horde in Black Ops 7 Zombies. We're heading into "Ashes of the Damned," the largest round-based Zombies map at launch, and the sheer amount of content is staggering. We've compiled all the launch intel, from the map itself to every single Perk, Field Upgrade, and GobbleGum, so you can build your perfect loadout on day one.


A Second Look at Ashes of the Damned

"Ashes of the Damned" is a terrifying and massive new playground. This Dark Aether location is a- fractured amalgamation of places pulled from history, creating a diverse and eerie battlefield. You'll be exploring everything from frontier towns to Cold War facilities. Be prepared to navigate "The Fog," a dangerous thoroughfare where hidden horrors are shrouded in mist.

 

Key Points of Interest:

  • Janus Towers Plaza: A research stronghold from 1989, pulled into the Dark Aether in 1991.
  • Vandorn Farm: A rural settlement built in 1920.
  • Blackwater Lake: A frozen lakeside cabin from the 1940s.
  • Ashwood: A frontier town dating back to 1820.
  • Exit 115: A classic roadside stop.
  • Zarya Cosmodrome: A Soviet-era launch facility from the 1960s.

Your Dark Aether Arsenal & Equipment

You'll have plenty of firepower to choose from. Black Ops 7 launches with 30 different Main and Melee weapons, all of which can be brought into Zombies. Every weapon can be Pack-a-Punched, have its Rarity increased, and be equipped with an Ammo Mod. Plus, a new optional Weapon Prestige system is available in Zombies, allowing you to unlock unique attachments and camos.

Your loadout is rounded out by a full selection of Tacticals, Lethals, and Support items. Familiar friends like the Cymbal Monkey, LT53 Kazimir, and Sentry Turret are back, and you can craft them at Crafting Tables or find them as you play. Be sure to check your progression path, as items like the Stim Shot, Molotov, and Mangler Cannon are unlocked as you level up.

  • Elemental Pop: Attacks can trigger random Ammo Mods.
  • Melee Macchiato: Replace weapon gun butt with a deadly punch.
  • Vulture Aid: Increase the variety of loot dropped by enemies.
  • Double Tap: Increase weapon fire rate.
  • Quick Revive: Recover health and revive allies faster.

Six Ammo Mods are here to add extra punch to your bullets, led by a chaotic new addition.

  • Fire Works (NEW): Each bullet has a chance to launch fireworks that target enemies.
  • Brain Rot: Chance to turn a zombie into an ally.
  • Napalm Burst: Chance to apply a burn effect for damage over time.
  • Shadow Rift: Chance to spawn a black hole that warps enemies away.
  • Dead Wire: Chance to stun an enemy and create an electric field.
  • Cryo Freeze: Chance to slow an enemy and increase damage taken.

Field Upgrades (6 Total)

Your rechargeable abilities are back, featuring a new defensive tool.

  • Toxic Growth (NEW): Summon a deadly growth of thorns that slows and damages enemies.
  • Dark Flare: Generate a lethal energy beam that penetrates enemies.
  • Healing Aura: Instantly revive and heal yourself and allies.
  • Frenzied Guard: Force all enemies to target you while your armor takes all damage.
  • Energy Mine: Create a mine of pure energy that detonates three times.
  • Aether Shroud: Phase into the Dark Aether, becoming invisible to enemies.

The GobbleGum Machine Returns!

That's right! The GobbleGum machine is back, stocked with a whopping 47 different GobbleGums at launch. This includes 41 returning fan-favorites and 6 brand-new confections, divided into Rare, Epic, Legendary, Ultra, and Whimsical variants. You can create your GobbleGum Packs before a match and even swap them mid-game.

 

While the full list is massive, the new additions include:

  • Aftertaste (New, Rare): Keep all your Perks after being revived.
  • Power Vacuum (New, Epic): Kills have a higher chance to spawn Power-Ups.

More Ways to Slay: Cursed Mode & Dead Ops Arcade 4

If the traditional round-based experience isn't enough, two additional modes are available at launch. First, Cursed Mode makes its return, offering a challenging twist on survival.

 

And for the arcade fans, get ready for Dead Ops Arcade 4: Pure Chicken Chaos. This new top-down adventure features its own gameplay and progression system, which is also integrated into the global progression system.
